 Residents Continue to Make Their Voices Heard Through Early Voting  

The Elections System is encouraged by the continued strong participation in Early Voting for the 2026 Primary Election ahead of Election Day. “The steady turnout demonstrates our community’s commitment to the democratic process,” said Supervisor Fawkes. “We encourage every eligible voter, especially our senior citizens and those with busy schedules, to take advantage of Early Voting. 

The number of electors who have participated in Early Voting to date is as follows: St. Thomas- 2,248, St. Croix-2,235, and St. John-108, for a total participation of 4,591. This represents 22 % percentage of active Democrat registered voters. 

Three days remain for voters to cast their ballot during the 2026 Primary Election Early Voting. The last day to early vote for the 2026 Primary Election is Wednesday, July 29, 2026. 

The Primary Election will be held on August 1, 2026. Voting hours on St. Croix and St. Thomas are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Voting hours on St. John are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Early Voting Locations are: 

St. Croix Elections Office
Sunny Isles Shopping Center, Unit 26 
St. Thomas Elections Office
Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular) 
St. John Elections Office
Market Place, Suite II, 3rd Floor 

Voters unable to vote early or on Election Day may apply for an absentee ballot at the Elections System website https://app.vivote.gov/absentee. Applications will be accepted through August 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. For assistance, call (340) 773-1021 or (340) 774-3107
