After 15 successful days of Early Voting, the 2024 General Election Early Voting has come to an end. Supervisor of Elections, Mrs. Caroline Fawkes, is pleased with the number of Early Voters who came out to cast their ballots. Supervisor Fawkes would like to thank the Elections System Staff, Board Members, Elections Officials, the Virgin Islands Police Department and Support Agencies that worked selflessly to ensure the success of early voting and the safety of electors who came in to cast their ballots. Electors who were unable to cast their ballot during the Early Voting can cast their ballot on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Voting Centers will open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Voters may cast their ballots on Election Day at any voting center on their island.
Supervisor Fawkes is reminding voters who were unable to vote during Early Voting or on Election Day, they or their representative can obtain an emailed absentee ballot or an absentee ballot from the Elections System Office.
In closing, Supervisor Fawkes states, “The vote is precious. It is almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have in a democracy.” – John Lewis.
