 2024 PRIMARY ELECTION EARLY VOTING CONCLUDES WITH 1,129 VOTERS

 The 2024 Primary Election Early Voting has come to an end. Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes, would like to thank the Elections System Staff, Board Members, Elections Officials, and Support Agencies that worked selflessly to ensure the success of early voting and the safety of electors who came in to cast their ballots. Electors who were unable to cast their ballot during the Early Voting can cast their ballot on Primary Election Day, Saturday, August 3, 2024. The number of electors who participated in the 2024 Primary Election Early Voting are as follows: St. Thomas- 251, St. Croix -870 and St. John-8, for a total territory wide of 1,129 which represents 6% of active registered democrats. 

Voting Centers will open on August 3rd from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A Voting Center is an alternative to traditional, neighborhood-based precincts. Voters may cast their ballots on Election Day at any voting center of choice in their district. 

Supervisor Fawkes also wishes to remind voters who were unable to vote during Early Voting or on Election Day, they or their representative can obtain an emailed absentee ballot or an absentee ballot from the Elections System Office. 

In closing, Supervisor Fawkes states “The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was indeed a vital instrument of democracy, ensuring the integrity and reliability of a democratic process that we as a Country hold so dear.” – Charles B. Rangel
