2024 NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION EXPO HOSTED BY ELECTIONS SYTEM OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Elections System will host a National Voter Registration Expo at the St. Croix Elections Office and Sunny Isles Amphitheatre from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The goal and purpose of the Expo is to get individuals registered to vote and be excited for the 2024 General Election scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The Elections System joined the nation on September 17th in recognizing the annual civic holiday in the United States. The day sought to create broad awareness of voter registration opportunities to reach tens of thousands of voters who may not register otherwise.

The Expo for will feature various government agencies and non-profit organization, light refreshments, free health screening, and music. The public is invited to come out, participate and use this opportunity to register to vote or update their registration. All replacement cost for voter registration cards were waived. Voters can check their registration status by visiting, https://vivote.gov/voters/lookup/. There will also be a voting machine demonstration of machines to be utilized in the upcoming 2024 General Election.

“Registration is the first step and participation is the next most important step. If you do not vote your voice is silent on the issues of the territory, you must show up to vote”, said Supervisor Fawkes.
